Our Way of Success
Indak has pioneered the concept of Global Brands’ Exclusive stores, in the city of Pune.
Company Formed
The Mansukhani family collectively opened their very first store - the Exclusive Levis Store on Dhole Patil Rd, in 1996. This was amongst the very 1st Levi’s EBOs in India. With this Hi - Fashion retailing was introduced to the city of Pune & in a matter of time; our store became a landmark & a hangout, for the hip in the city.
Reebok & Adidas Store
Realising that customers preferred buying the world’s best brands from an original store rather than the grey market, Indak soon opened Pune’s very 1st Exclusive Reebok Store & in quick succession an Adidas Exclusive Store, both on DP Rd. Sports enthusiasts in Pune were delighted.
Dockers Store
Observing that India was connecting even more globally & a younger generation was taking over, Indak shifted gears & brought casual formal dressing to the fore, with an Exclusive Dockers Store, also on D.P.Road. High Street & high end retailing had a newly evolved market in the city.
Expansion with Adidas
Expanding with the Adidas brand we opened another Store on Pune’s oldest high street market - M.G.Road, in 2003 which soon received a record number of walk ins per day.
Largest Exclusive Levi’s Store
And then the Malls came. In the year 2007 with the launching of Pune’s 1st Mall – Kakade Mall, Indak opened the largest Exclusive Levi’s Store seen, at 2000 sq ft. This store consecutively was the no.1 Levi’s store in the city for over 5 years & in the top 5 exclusive Levi’s stores across the country. As the city expanded, the Indak chain also managed the Levis’ & Dockers’ counters, at the newly established Pune Central, Bund Garden.
Puma Franchisee
Seeing the potential of SGS (erstwhile Kakade Mall) & the sports market, in 2011 we also became Puma Franchisees & ran the SGS Mall Exclusive Puma store & a Puma led MBO on the JM Rd High Street.
1st Speedo Store
As Pune grew & rentals crossed 15% of revenue, in 2017 we decided to shift focus onto brands that were clear leaders in their segments & who optimized their space requirements & hence rentals. With this thought we opened our 1st Speedo (the world’s leading swimwear brand) EBO, at Pune’s newest Mall - Westend, in Aundh, Pune. And quickly this store became amongst the highest trading density Speedo stores in the country.
Speedo Kiosk and Pro-shops
Then in 2018 we opened a Speedo Kiosk at Seasons Mall Pune. And today we are in the process of opening a number of pro shops across Pune’s biggest pools, for the Speedo brand.
Speedo & Jockey Store at Kothrud
Our combined SPEEDO-JOCKEY store is now open at the fabulous Solaris Sports World, Kothrud! The most complete sports complex in west Pune, with Tennis, Squash, Roller blading, Badminton, Swimming & Gyming all available in one gorgeous space!
Launches Retail Consultancy
Taking my years of retailing, hours interacting with customers & my learning from brands forward, I now work with Fixture manufacturers, Retailers, Brands & Shopper & Retail Marketing Agencies, to attempt & transform the traditional brick & mortar store, into an interactive digital environment.It is now clear that Online shopping has been cemented into the customer’s buying behavior.So why not replicate favourite online shopping habits, like the Comparing of Products, watching Product Videos, engaging Social Media & even buying Online, within the physical retail store itself? And smart retail Fixtures with Electrified tracks, along with smart retail Gadgets plugged in, do exactly that! Transforming the traditional retail space into an interactive, informative & entertaining environment. And allowing numerous possibilities for digital Content, product Customisations, flexible & quick Visual Merchandising, focused Customer Loyalty programs, an increase in store KPIs, as well as enhanced Retail Marketing.
